I’m Katy Schutte. I probably met you in a workshop or at a show. I’m a writer, improviser, performer and teaching artist with a special interest in folklore, neo-paganism and nature.

The last month has been delightful, especially the Oslo Impro Festival which was run beautifully! I’m excited for the weather to permit me log fires, the beach sauna and cold sea swims, cosy nights and fresh, sunny dog walks.

Write Your Solo Show!
This is a reminder that the Write Your Solo Show course starts this Thursday online. If you’re interested in making a solo show, or learning tools to make one in future, this class has put over 100 students through a programme of creating their own written work. Folks come from different backgrounds - total beginners, established writers and improvisers interested in how writing works. We don’t have a particular genre, so you will be supported to create whatever show you’d like to make. Clowning, burlesque, sketch and stand up comedy, storytelling, musical theatre, drama and everything else is welcome. Previous students have been featured on the BBC, won Fringe Firsts, toured their shows and received great reviews. There are a couple of tickets left…
