I’m Katy Schutte. I probably met you in a workshop or at a show. I’m a writer, improviser, performer and teaching artist with a special interest in folklore, neo-paganism and nature.

I am very proud and happy to announce that I now have an MA in Folklore Studies! I’m also thrilled to have received a Develop Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England to concentrate on my writing practice.
I’ve had a busy summer but still made time for sea swims, friends and hangouts with my dog and man fam. I did another stint of the We Built This City on Rock and Coal tour in Ireland, played at Flock Festival in Amsterdam, taught an intensive at Anundpfirsich in Zurich and performed in a lot of shows (and directed) at Karlsruhe in Germany. We had a great time in both my Weird and Eerie and Black Mirror classes… I’m currently teaching the Mythic Improv Journey, various classes for Hoopla and a beginners’ course in my new home town of Folkestone.
