Improv and web series news from Katy Schutte
Katy Schutte's gubbins, June 2019.
I've come out of an immersive folk horror and found myself in a rom com. This month, I'll be improvising science fiction with Chris Mead and doing a table read for new web series Sideliners with my co-writer Edmund Fargher and a wonderful line-up of guests.Sign-ups for September Hoopla courses including sci-fi improv are also live. You'll only get one email per month with blogs and show news and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Project2: Improvised Sci-fi
Live at Hoopla, me and Chris Mead improvise a totally original science fiction show. We've toured around the world and on 12th June we're playing in our back yard. Our show is live scored - and improvised - by the legendary Fred Deakin of Lemon Jelly fame. Fred also has a new album called The Lasters which is beautiful.
Web Series Table Read
Since October, me and Edmund Fargher have been secretly working hard on a web series and we're thrilled to read it out loud to a live audience for the first time. What was a fun side-project is now a feature length script in ten episodes gearing up to film in 2020. Say you were there at the beginning by sharing your thoughts on the script; 21st June from 6pm.
As a bonus extra, stick around and see Ed and I improvise any movie as if it were a rom com...
