Katy Schutte: Improv and Other News August 2020

News from Katy Schutte

Hello again, it's Katy

It's going very well, thank you!

I just checked and we have 161 members in The Improv Place so far. It's pretty amazing. In our meetings at the beginning we were like "if we just get 10 people, they will be the right people and we'll make it for them" so we're jazzed. And it's still building. If you haven't heard about it, it's an online community for professional (and pro-aspiring) improvisers. We have masterclasses, forums, guest teachers, interviews, daily questions and more. It's a paid platform so that we can provide a slick, pro, community experience with no ads. There are no trolls, a careful code of conduct, and everyone gets to learn from one another about improv niches they care about. We also have scholarships so that we can be fancy without being gatekeeping dickheads. If you haven't joined and are thinking about it, we have a membership and class bundle for our 6-pack of classes with these amazing global teachers:The first class stars THIS THURSDAY.

Other things worth mentioning...

I'm having a thrilling time with Transportalists: a project I'm co-writing and doing dramaturgy on with CreativeXR and #storyfutures. I had some great training with PunchDrunk and I'm learning more about AR.
