Katy Schutte's improv gubbins, May 2015.
Dark Timelines and Sunny Portugal Hooray, the Maydays are opening the Espontaneo Festival in Portugal. Coming?
This month, I'm launching a new podcast, doing more musical science fiction, exploring my dark half and giving you more two person improvisation. That's right, Cariad and Paul are playing at Yes, Ampersand tomorrow night (Wednesday 29th April) at the Priory Arms in Stockwell. They're an amazing two person improv show with music. I highly recommend you go see it. Before I get on with all the details, here are a couple of articles that I enjoyed this week:One from one of my favourite books (not quite) about improv. The other from the Guardian about how comedians' brains work differently. And here's one from me about improv and dinosaurs.
Destination
I'm very excited to tell you that me and Tony Harris are releasing a brand new podcast called Destination. It's an improvised journey with some amazing long form players. You can also see us play live at Dark Timeline in Camden Etcetera Theatre on 9th May. Follow @destinationpod for updates. Dark Timeline is an improv show where everything goes a bit dark (literally and figuratively). The line up is sketch-feel improv team The Science of Living Things, apocalyptic torch theatre with Countdown to Doom (I'm guesting in that too) and Destination.
