Previews & Scott Adsit!

June has been an incredible improv journey. This month is all about the Edinburgh previews, baby! And playing with Scott Adsit on Friday; that's pretty exciting too.

International Improv

It's been a real treat to travel around performing and teaching improv in June. Hello if I met you in Finland, Greece or Ireland over the last month! For international followers, my improv blogs are HERE. You can also listen to episodes of the improvised podcast Destination which is very silly and has a fantastic cast.

Schutte the Unromantic

This is my new storytelling stand-up show about how awful I am at romance.

Previews

Schutte the Unromantic at Edinburgh Fringe:

London Shows:

The Maydays

Come see The Maydays and Scott Adsit share the stage on Friday 30th June. Of course... you'll be there anyway to see my preview at 6pm, so just stick around.

We'll also be performing our smash-hit festival show Happily Never After at the Nursery Theatre on 21st July.

Destination Live

Our improvised podcast will be performing live at Hoopla on

with guest Tim Sniffen as well as regular cast Tony Harris, Jinni Lyons, Rhiannon Vivian and me. Destination is a real-time car journey where our driver is plagued with phone calls in an - often distressing and surreal - 30 minute journey.

Project2

Chris Mead and I will be performing science fiction improv for your delight at the Nursery Theatre on 14th July.

Improv Classes:

Slow Burn Masterclass

SOLD OUT (but let me know if you want to go on the waiting list just in case).I'm teaching a specialist class after much haranguing from students! This will be a high level class, so I recommend at least a year of longform shows in your pocket. Tuesdays 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th July, 7-10pm at the Nursery Training Centre, London Bridge.More details & booking here.

Drop-ins and courses

Maydays Improv Retreat

How would you like to spend five days staying in a grand old house in the Dorset countryside, taking your choice of improv classes in the company of some of the most lovely and talented people you’ll ever meet? Whether you’re new to improv, a seasoned veteran, or somewhere in between, you’ll come away from this residential week refreshed, energised and inspired.

Other Gubbins:

I've written a book, a ruddy improv book. It's a 12-week workbook for longformers called The Improviser's Way and it will be out later this year...

Destination Podcast

Our improvised car journey continues with new episodes every Sunday.

Enjoy our guests and regulars including Trilochon Chatterjee, Brendan Murphy, Maria Peters, Jonathan Monkhouse, Rhiannon Vivian, Jinni Lyons, Tony Harris and me.
