WHO ‘DIS?
I’m Katy Schutte. I write stuff, improvise stuff, teach public and corporate things and perform.
NEWS AND STUFF
I just met with Sam, my dramaturg for the Arctic Play I’m writing. Now he’s ‘Sam-aturg’ in my diary. That’s the kind of gold that gets me Arts Funding.
I’ve had a great month; I’ve been in the French Alps on a very insightful Mindful Leaders retreat. There are a group of us from all different business backgrounds on a 9-month program. I learned a lot, including how hiking barefoot is extremely painful as well as suuuuper interesting and connectful.
I’ve been in Amsterdam performing and teaching for Flock Theatre; an incredible duo of improvisers that I hugely appreciate every time we’re in a rehearsal room or on stage together. We’ll be previewing our new improvised duos at Robin Hood Festival and Karlsruhe later in the year.
We took our dog camping for the first time. Yes, she fits in our tent. No - no one slept very well.
